Save This Date

While I want to show more of my crafty side, I tend to not be able to express as freely as I want because all my ideas are in my head and I fee like I am not artistic enough to create my idea.....there I said it....I guess now you know...I am a closet crafter.

I hoard scrapbooking paper, ribbon, brads...oh you name it I probably have it or a small sample of it! I love paper goods, I drool over stationary and pretty envelopes. I can't help it, there is just something so beautiful about crafts and artsy things.

My current task as been creating Mimi's "Save The Dates". We found all of the materials at Michaels...Bazzil cardstock, Martha Stewart embossing kit with stamps and stamp (which actually says "Save This Date" hence the title). Her colors are Taupe, Blush and Champagne.....so to honor her and all of beautifulness check out these etsy goodies below.

Happy New Year!!

So, welcome to your new beginning! It is mine as well, I am looking to undergo a site revamp to reflect my style more! I am excited to announce that mi hermana is engaged!!!! Congrats to you, Mimi!!! To celebrate this momentous occasion, why not feature some bling?! One of my all-time favorite mags, Lucky featured this beautiful ring by Guy and Eva Jewelry it's such a pretty addition to any jewelry collection and at only $69, I'm sooooo sure you won't have to think twice about making a purchase!!!!!

I'm really into sequins right now because they can add their own sort of blingy appeal! I am looking for the perfect sequined top to go under a vest but instead I found this pretty lil' lady over at Arden B, it's black, embellished and tiered...could you ask for anything more....oh and it's on sale for $47.60!! The perfect dress at the perfect price for a perfect night out for drinks with the chicas!

OMG....I love these!!! They are over the top and would make any pair of skinny jeans faint!!! I know what you are thinking, is she she serious??!! Yes I am, very....indeed! I {heart} Guiseppe Zanotti for these!!! I would rock them with this lovely piece from Robert Rodriguez which also has bling of it's own!

Although I love the commercial retail, I am a huge fan of Etsy!!! I plan on making a few purchases and saw some pieces that would love to come home with me! A vintage prettie, a dainty delight and something sweet for a pretty petite, these are few of my favorite things!!! Well, I'm off to read some of my favorite blogs!

I'm done.

The List plus...

First I have to say that I {heart} Alex Woo! She has eye-catching, sweet and simple designs that are reasonably priced with even a few philanthropic pieces thrown in! I love cutesy bees....swoon..and when I got my Daily Candy e-mail and saw her Little Seasons Bee in 14kt gold  I knew I wanted had to have it! So I tacked it onto the list as a Merry Happy Birthday gift because I don't mind waiting until my birthday to get it..since it is technically last minute. Anywho, I scoured some of my favorite blogs and websites to see what the new goodies were I should be coveting putting on my list. My homegirl Kristopher Dukes never fails to bring a smile to my face and a fashionable tear to my eye with the goodies she {hearts}! I almost fainted when I saw these beautiful snacks.

Aren't they lovely! Don't you want to wear them with a haute to trot Minidress to show off the gams...and the red sole!!

Anywho, I needed some new sweaters and skinnies so I headed over to shopbop and found a chunky/cuddle-worthy lady called the Grandfather Cardigan by Haute Hippie, reminds me of my grandfather....huggable and sweet...love you Poppi! I also spotted this Button Over Cardigan Sweater by Elizabeth and James, I am a firm believer that all cardis need pockets!! Pockets are adorable sexy! On to the skinnies...  Now, here's the deal...I think every woman can rock skinny jeans! You just have to balance the silhouettes, skinny jeans are made to show off and or play up you assets but can become a liability if you do too much. Thinner chicas can get away with a hip-grazing tee, skinnies and a cardi, however, if you are a hipster or have a Beyonce', I'm going to suggest a cute tunic and cropped sweater or a longer tee and this Bad Momma! Oh, please make sure that the aforementioned tunic and tee are not suction cupped to your body...it's tacky....yes, I've seen it and it looked a hot mess! My skinny lusts loves are the 7 for all Mankind Roxanne, not too long and the perfect shade of denim for day and night! You need more than dark denim in your closet, show some versatility! I {heart} the Gap and their denim is awesome, their latest venture to reinvent their denim collection make my heart flutter because they not only have straight legs, they have skinnies and the Always Skinny Deconstructed Jeans in the Light Wash are my favs!

Like I said before, I didn't ask for much because of my Nauceness but the last snack I asked for were these beauties by Frye.

Well, I'm done!

Is this thing on?

Ahem.....I have failed you all! I took a 2 year hiatus and didn't even send a card or call, I know...I know! I'm sorry. I am looking to make a comeback. I have to get to gettin' or I'll miss my chance for redemption! Before I go though....what did you ask Santa for? Me, I've been Nauce...you know more naughty than nice, so I didn't ask for much! I'll post what I asked for later...I promise, sheesh! Don't look at me like that! I'm done...for now!

Funky Mood

Yes, I am in a funk and can't get out! I am trying to just go on about my days but....man it's a sauna in my own skin! I am depressed..why, who really knows?!!! Can I get some help here? Anybody? I want to talk about fashion and life and love but...gulp...none of that is where it's at for me right now. Am I drowning? Do I need a hug or a shopping spree? I can do this...I can't do this..right now. I'm done.

Carmen Marc Valvo - Taffeta Dress

Carmen Marc Valvo - Taffeta Dress

I plan to be a showstopper on valentine's day and whilst browsing for my ensemble, I came upon this beautiful garment. If you don't know anything about Mr. Valvo, learn! He is doing great things for fashion and I am in love with his work!! Catherine Zeta-Jones, Vanessa Williams and countless others have graced us with his talent. The back of this gown is priceless and the price tag is....well-worth it. $500, I'm going to be extra good for this treat!! (via neimanmarcus.com)

Silver Belles and Goldie Locks

So, I know that you know that I know that you wanna know what's hott for the Spring! This very early morning, I'll be focusing on the silvers and golds of it all. I was walking in the mall and almost mowed down a little boy because I was in full stride to see if my beautiful brown eye had spied what I thought I spied!!! Could it be, yes it was Louis Vuitton's Speedy Miroir Bag her name is...Silver and she will cost you $1,150...I almost cried and then I turned to my love and said I must-gotta have!!!!!

I know you're thinking, that's too much bling for me so I found you another tasty option....Fendi's Canvas/Metallic Large B Bag would suit you more subdued ladies and I believe it's worth every cent...$1,580!

Since the Spring thing to shoe is a wedge, I found some little snacks to keep your (and my) perfectly pedicures pups satisfied. Of Course, since I absolutely love Christian Louboutin his Canvas Platform Espadrille is featured first. Although, it's not silver or gold it deserves to have a place on my blog!!!! As a matter-of-fact, she is Taupe!!! What a beauty...$310...I'm not going to beg, I'm not going to beg, I'm going to plead!!!!

I need to stay focused...Yves Saint Laurent Cordoue Metallic Gold Espadrilles are a K.O and with 5" heel, you will knock 'em all dead!! A mere $490, shouldn't set you back too much right?

I love jewelry almost as much as I love shoes. What the difference between an addiction and a fetish? Don't answer that?! I don't want to know. Anywho, when looking for you neck adornments, chains and links are key. I love David Yurman's Oval link chain necklace, it's 18" long so it's perfect for day and at $4,710 you better have a good place to show it off.

I know that this little piece is a tad bit expensive, so I found an option that will work out just as well. Juicy Couture is a brand that I believe is somewhat underrated, they are not just sweats and cutesy keychains, they have some lucrative pieces in terms of jewelry and of course, they are going to be trendy.

This piece is darling, it's not too flashy, not too blingy and not a bit underclassman!! For me, this Juicy Couture Multilayer Sparrow necklace has a very Old World charm to it. There's something very graceful and elegant about the sparrows soaring across the neckline. {Did you know of the day: American or New World Sparrows are not closely related to true sparrows. They have a separate classification from Old World or True Sparrows and are more closely related to Finches. www.wikipedia.org }
Anywho, I love this necklace and it's only a mere $128, so you can go kick it with your favorite chicas and still snag some drinks.

Before I let you go, I want to give you one last piece to bring in your Spring!!! I saw this and almost choked on my organic Apple Cinnamon O's! If you want to step out one night and not make a scene but sho' nuff be seen, I'm suggesting this be added to your closet. This Foley for Foley +Corinna Lurex Sweater Tunic is superb....need I say more? Oh yeah, she is $238...a small price to pay for a big statement making piece...no?

I'm done.
